Our goal is for Open Conf to provide a safe, welcoming, and productive environment for all participants, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, or technology choices.
We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery are not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, and social media.
Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.
Open Conf is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone. We respect every individual and expect all participants (including sponsors, speakers, staff, and volunteers) to show kindness and cooperate in maintaining a positive and inclusive climate.
Harassment includes, but is not limited to:
Offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or ethnicity.
The use of sexual images in public spaces.
Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
Harassing photography or recording.
Sustained disruption of talks or other events.
Inappropriate physical contact.
Unwelcome sexual attention.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the organizing committee immediately. Our team members will be wearing branded t-shirts or special badges so they are easy to identify.
Our team is available to help you contact venue security or local law enforcement, provide an escort, or otherwise assist you to feel safe for the duration of the conference. Your presence and safety are our top priority.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including a warning, expulsion from the conference with no refund, or a ban from any future Open Conf events.
We expect all participants to follow this code of conduct at all conference venues (physical and virtual) and at all related social events.
