Nikos Patsis has founded and exited two technology companies and spent more than 25 years working where technology meets capital, from private equity and hedge funds to AI entrepreneurship and investing.
An engineer by training, he has worked with AI since his undergraduate studies at the National Technical University of Athens, where his award-winning thesis applied distributed AI to an electricity network. He later earned an MS and PhD in Financial Engineering at Harvard University on a full fellowship.
He began his career in quantitative analysis, then served as COO of a private equity firm in New York and worked in risk management for a global macro hedge fund in Bermuda.
In 2001, he founded Voiceweb, a pioneer in conversational AI in Greece, and led it as CEO for more than two decades, deploying solutions for some 50 enterprise clients across 30 countries before its exit in 2023. In parallel, he co-founded Televida, which expanded across six Central American countries before being sold in 2012.
Today, through DisruptIQ, he advises companies on AI implementation, strategy and growth, while investing in emerging technologies including AI, robotics and deep tech.

A panel examines how AI, capital, financial systems and infrastructure will shape the next decade through builders, investors and operators.
AI, Money, Power & the Race to Build What Comes Next
It’s a conversation about who will actually shape the next decade.
The AI revolution is moving from models and tools into companies, financial systems, investment decisions, infrastructure and eventually autonomous decision-making. At the same time, enormous amounts of capital are moving into AI infrastructure and startups, while financial institutions are asking how much of their business can become autonomous.
Profiles:
– Builder — what entrepreneurs are actually creating
– Investor — what capital is betting on
– Operator — what survives when you actually have to scale it
A discussion of building global success and how artificial intelligence is transforming the world.
AI is transforming software development, making coding, knowledge, and execution more accessible than ever. As AI evolves from a productivity tool into the interface between human intention and creation, a deeper question emerges: what does it mean to be a capable human in the age of AI?
When a junior engineer can achieve in hours what once required years of experience, what truly distinguishes a senior professional? Is it technical expertise, or the ability to exercise judgment, ownership, critical thinking, creativity, and empathy?
This panel explores how AI is reshaping careers, learning, leadership, and human value. Where does deep expertise still matter? What skills remain scarce when knowledge and execution become abundant? And how should developers, students, HR leaders, and CTOs prepare for a future where anyone can build, but not everyone can create value?
Audience takeaway: Understand how the definition of talent, expertise, and impact is changing, and what skills will matter most in the AI-native world.
